Very good points.

To help enforce these thoughts I'd like to add that I've noticed a lot of small companies and start-ups specifically look to hire individuals who freelance because it's a smaller investment. Although there are some that insist on hiring firms or groups for larger projects, there is still a growing need for the small guy.

And don't dismiss small clients or small projects. Every project can lead to another project and every client can refer you to another client. I just took on a very small project and it has already opened a door to bigger projects with the same client.

Us small fries can still be big potatoes.

And just to support your point, my company is launching a new website at www.conferencehound.com . This site makes finding conferences on the web far easier than it has ever been. You can search conferences by date range, by location, by profession and even by close by activities (such as golf, shopping, scuba, sightseeing etc..)

You're so right! Twitter being still a pretty new micro blogging app, I'm sure many people don't realize this. I sure didn't. Twitter is such a 'real time' application that people pretty much discard and forget about previous tweets! DON'T!
Thank you
